- Personal Information
- I was born and raised in Napa, and it is great to be teaching in the community where I grew up. In my free time I love to read Stephen King, play Xbox Live, and spend time with my fiancé.
- Subjects Taught
- I teach Language Arts and Social Studies to 7th and 8th graders.
- Began Teaching at River School
- Fall 2004
- Taught Before
- This is my fifth year teaching.
- What is important to you in education?
- I think students need to learn how to solve problems for themselves, work collaboratively in a group, and become aware of how their actions impact themselves and others around them.
- What Defines the River School to you?
- The River School is place that lets students explore who they are and come to conclusions about who they want to be. Students are able to see how their academic and social decisions impact their lives, and they learn that making mistakes is okay because it is in the mistakes that they learn the most about themselves and are able to grow.
