- Subjects Taught
-
I teach math and science to 7th and 8th graders.
- Began Teaching at River School
- I substitute taught for Napa Valley Unified for 6 years. My first fulltime year teaching was at River School in the fall of 2005. I taught 5th grade at Shearer for the 2007/2008 school year and am very happy to be back working with middle school students.
- What is important to you in education?
-
I want to work with students in an environment that lets them be themselves. All students should have the opportunity to demonstrate what they know in ways that works for them. I think education needs to support all students in they way they learn and not adopt a one size fits all approach.
- What Defines the River School to you?
-
River School teaches the whole child. Every student has the chance to learn the required subjects while developing a sense of who they are and how they will interact with the world around them.
